Julia Langenberg

Over the last 20 years, Julia’s aerial career led her to dance on buildings, perform over whales and dolphins at SeaWorld, tour the world performing and coaching, found an aerial performance company and school, create and grow the aerial scene in Austin and San Antonio, design a rigging plan and custom build an aerial studio, judge international circus competitions, perform on a cruise ship, develop one of the first college level aerial dance courses, become a two time US Aerial Championship finalist, create and direct full length circus productions, and receive multiple grants for artistic excellence.

Julia is a graduate of NECCA’s ProTrack Program and St. Olaf College with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. Her talents have been employed by national dance companies, Nimble Arts, MOTH Poetic Circus, Cirque Imagination, JAR Productions, World Entertainment Services, Oma Entertainment, Blue Lapis Light, and SeaWorld, Sharir+Bustamante Danceworks, Ballet East, and the Cirque du Soleil talent database. She also founded the Aerial Theory Summit and specializes in Fabric Theory.

Julia now shares her expertise as a consultant for circus performers, schools, and companies, and continues to coach. She is truly grateful for her extensive career in the aerial arts as she pivots into her Marketing Director role at an international study abroad company.
