Rope Construction and Re-Covering
With Zane Defiant
In this demonstration and chat session, you will gain a deeper understanding of how aerial ropes are designed and built. You’ll learn what is needed to replace a torn cover, and the specific tools and trade tricks that make re-covering ropes easier.
We won’t have time or space to re-cover your ropes in this class, but we will have “hands on” segments that include stitching and stretching, and you’ll get the satisfaction of tearing off an old damaged cover.
We’ll look at a variety of ropes, including ones from Custom Bulit Equipment, Catch-It, Circus Concepts, Circus Apparatus Labs, Leo Ropes and J ropes, and talk about how different brands vary in construction.
