Ben Voeglein

Much like an aged cheese, Ben strives to blend the funky, goofy side of acrobatics with the sincerity of an authentic experience. He developed his passion for circus in his early 20s after taking a guest workshop in Acro Yoga at his local studio. From there, Ben expanded into Partner Acrobatics, Aerial, and Gymnastics. A Handbalancer at heart, he prefers to be upside down, in the air, or supporting others to do the same – literally or figuratively.

Prior to making cheese plate analogies or trying to run away to the circus full time, Ben earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Master’s in Applied Molecular Biology. Fortunately, the traditionally professional world couldn’t keep its hold on him despite two careers in lab research and public health.

As a coach, Ben aims to connect with each student’s background – intellectual or physical – to better communicate and educate through familiar ideas. He enjoys finding unique ways to make pedagogy engaging and inspiring, with the hope of empowering his students to feel comfortable and creative when approaching new skills.
